MWPA Evacuation Route work scheduled to begin Monday, 1/27/25 on Kehoe and Woodhaven

Inverness Residents and Property Owners,

Next week, your Measure C dollars will be put to work reducing fire hazardous fuels along roadways in Inverness. Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority, Marin County Fire Department, and Inverness Public Utilities District have partnered on a project to thin vegetation along roadways that would be critical during an evacuation. This work will be guided by biologists who will flag areas to avoid. (So, if you see flagging, please don't remove it!)

One crew will be working in Inverness on Woodhaven and Kehoe Way from approximately January 27 through January 31, depending on weather and other constraints. During this time, please take care while driving past our hard-working crew.

Please check out the project webpage HERE and the attached Frequently Asked Questions document which includes before and after photos from similar work in Inverness. Please email fire@invernesspud.org with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Inverness Volunteer Fire Department
